Girl Put Your Records On: Volume 9
My second favorite season is in full swing (summer is #1) and I'm sprung for what spring has to offer. As soon as the weather jumped up to high 70s and 80s again, my shorts and rompers came out to play with me. I'm soaking up as much sunny vitamin D as possible, even with the limitations of having an indoor office job. Sunshine helps me thrive and I plan to fully take advantage of outdoor activities while we skip leisurely through spring and dive straight into summer.
From rooftop cinemas, picnics, beach hangs, and outdoor shopping malls, I'm here for it all. Last week, I road tripped to Palm Springs during weekend one of Coachella to help produce Create & Cultivate's Desert Pop Up, and although I anticipated to scorch in the rays of dry heat, it wasn't all too bad. I was toasty, but not burnt.
My birthday month of May is approaching and I have a full calendar of exciting adventures in the works. Turning 26 sounds and feels kind of wild. I'll officially be in my "late twenties" and not sure how I got here so fast. That's time for ya. Per usual, I'm looking forward to embracing the new age and new year. I've spring cleaned my life (materialistically and mentally) and feel more prepared to maintain a forward motion.
I hope you have been rocking and rolling, even with all of the craziness in the world and your own lives. I put together a little mix of music for you below. You can follow along on Spotify for more! Volume 9 of Girl Put Your Records On represents what I've been jamming to lately. Not included: the late '90s / early '00s bangers I've been playing at the C&C office. There's nothing like "Spice Up Your Life" to get you going.
